This video is of a Baofeng uv-3r being tested with 2 after market antennas. The antennas are a Diamond SRH-805S and a Nagoya NA-666.
The radio was supplied with two antennas one for VHF and the other for UHF which work very well.
The reason why i am trying the two new antennas is that i want a small dual band “stubby” type antenna for compactness and another which is a dual band antenna which will avoid the need for constantly swapping the antennas everytime i want to use to either VHF or UHF!
Overall the Nagoya NA-666 works a lot better then the Diamond SRH-805S and the standard antenna on RX and this has been confirmed also with my local VHF / UHF repeaters.
