I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time. There is a very experienced gentleman at Piercing Studio Utrecht that has implanted at least 150 people with an NFC chip.
The chip itself stores about 880 bytes of data, and can be used to store passwords, bitcoins, or other data. You can also unlock things with your hand, such as doors, smartphones, your computer etc.
